Erykah Badu has joined forces with Cookies founder Berner to introduce her own strain: "That Badu." The music star and entrepreneur describes her Limoncello-crossbred from Mad Cow Genetics strain as an aromatic, lemon fragrance that will "just get you through the day without overexposure."

Cookie storefronts' launch event for the collaboration will take place on International Women's Day (8 March) and feature Badu's range of products. These include ceramic rolling-trays and bongs featuring blue-andwhite designs that are inspired by ancient Qinghua-style ceramics.

Badu is a well-known advocate of cannabis. She even has a brand named after her. She's also supported a variety of cannabis-related initiatives, from doulas services to working toward obtaining her Texas medical marijuana license.

Erykah Badu has long been an outspoken champion of women's rights. To mark Women's History Month, she's joining forces with Cookies cannabis to launch That Badu -- a premium range designed with women in mind and which will debut on International Women's Day of March 8. A second wave of items will debut around Mother's Day: 14 May is planned as launch date.

Badu realized her vision for the brand at every stage - research, testing, packaging design. All products have a purple-and white motif that resembles ancient Chinese Qinghua porcelains. Together they worked closely together on creating something which celebrates both beauty and ritual associated with cannabis use.

Badu's first cannabis strain will be a cross of Lemonchello and Jet Fuel Gelato. It will be available as eighths or pre-rolls from all Cookies and Lemonnade outlets in California beginning on March 8th.
